Castille Presents “How to Voir Dire a Jury” Seminar at SULC Fall Fest Week

September 27, 2018

Taylor Porter Partner Preston Castille teamed up with local attorney Antonio "Tony" Clayton to present “How to Voir Dire a Jury” on Wednesday, Sept. 26, as a part of a series of Southern University Law Center symposiums offered during Fall Fest Week. Castille and Clayton addressed students on the importance of the jury selection process and how it plays a pivotal role on the outcome of any trial.

Stressing the importance of student symposiums, Castille commends the Law Center’s consistent efforts to lay a foundation for students to be practice-ready. “It’s good to get practitioners who practice law to share and complement what you are learning from the academic side,” he said. Castille began his career as a law professor in 2001 teaching Pretrial Litigation Practice at the LSU Paul M. Hebert School of Law. In 2003, he began teaching at Southern University Law Center preparing students to become practice-ready.

Castille, a member of Taylor Porter's executive committee, is engaged primarily in business litigation and transactions. He has been ranked for several years in Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Administrative Law and Insurance Law, and he is the firm's representative in MSI Global Alliance, a network of more than 250 accounting and law firms in 100 countries. Castille is the Immediate Past President of the Southern University Alumni Federation.

Clayton currently serves as managing partner in the law firm of Clayton, Frugé, and Ward, in Port Allen, Louisiana.
